You’re Invited: Bystander Intervention Training with Dr. Craig Ross, Hosted by Black Lives Belong and Natick Vets!

Join us for an empowering evening of learning and skill-building at the Bystander Intervention Training led by Dr. Craig S. Ross, PhD, MBA. This interactive session will equip participants with the knowledge and tools to safely intervene in instances of public harassment and support those being targeted.

What You’ll Learn:

  • The role of identity in public harassment

  • Why harassment happens and how it unfolds

  • Psychological dynamics of a harassment event

  • Barriers to intervention—and how to overcome them

  • Five proven intervention strategies

  • Self-care techniques for after an incident

  • The training includes large and small group discussions, hands-on practice exercises, and access to follow-up resources. All are welcome, and no prior experience is necessary.

About the Trainer: Dr. Craig Ross is a retired epidemiologist and faculty member at the Boston University School of Public Health. He developed BU’s graduate curriculum in Bystander Intervention Training in collaboration with the nonprofit Right to Be, and has trained over 1,000 individuals in effective intervention strategies.
